Exoskeleton

Nah...for you...now stop whining.

VERSE 1:

I’m a boiling pot of anger,
Proximity is danger,
But that’s just the way that I am.

All scalding emotions,
No salves, potions nor lotions,
Can soothe me from this hell where I’m damned.

So I walk my life all alone
And built an armour of fortified bone
From the tips of my toes to my chin.

Ooh and then you came
And my life’s not the same,
Now who’s going to save me from this sin?

CHORUS:

Ooohhh…
You think I’m laughing,
You think it’s just a jest,
Don’t make me put into words
What I’m afraid to confess.

Ooohhh…
I’m keeping from keeling
From my heart strings’ stress,
Don’t make me put into words
What I’m afraid to confess.

There’re times when I’ve exploded,
There’re times when I’ve imploded,
But oh God you’ve eroded, eroded, eroded
My exoskeleton.

VERSE 2:

Oh yes I scream and kick and tear,
And I smite unprovoked and I swear,
But that’s just how I’m built you understand.

Hey, hey, it’s no excuse
But the flame just burns the fuse
When I see you in the arms of that other man.

What does it mean? What does it mean?
I wish I know what I should’ve been
And I’ve ran out of ammunition and arms

To attack and defend,
And on the surface pretend
That I’m invulnerable to your charms.

CHORUS:

Ooohhh…
You think I’m laughing,
You think it’s just a jest,
Don’t make me put into words
What I’m afraid to confess.

Ooohhh…
I’m keeping from keeling
From my heart strings’ stress,
Don’t make me put into words
What I’m afraid to confess.

There’re times when I’ve exploded,
There’re times when I’ve imploded,
But oh God you’ve eroded, eroded, eroded
My exoskeleton.

BRIDGE:

My shield and my armour,
My iron, steel, and honour,
Have crumbled to ashes in your right hand.

I thought I could hold it,
I thought I could control it
Until I saw you in the arms of that other man.

Now you’ve gone to kill
My strength, my independent will,
Oh I saw you in the arms of that other man.

So what am I supposed to do
But to better myself for you
And for the sake of that other man.

VERSE 3:

I’m sorry for all the pain,
The unwanted tears I’ve caused again,
No more misplaced love nor anger.

So here’s to the unveiling
Of a brand new me sans feelings,
No more misplaced love nor anger.

REPEAT CHORUS.
